Government representatives from Antigua and Barbuda, Mexico, Argentina, Senegal, Mozambique, Ivory Coast, South Africa, the African Union Commission, Spain, Finland, Sweden, Catalonia and Norway, as well as universities and university associations from Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe attend the event. As an outcome, OBREAL Global, in support of the Presidency of the CELAC and the African Union Commission, are designing an inter-regional work plan that will allow progress on the complexity of challenges facing the different ‘Souths’ and the different ‘Norths’. It highlights a common agenda related to three areas of work that are of fundamental interest for universities and their relationship with the environment and the world:

- employment and skills,
- open access and free circulation of scientific products and results.
