The Centre for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL) and the Office of the Vice President for Learning and Teaching are launching a series of online Learning & Teaching Research Showcase events. These online showcases will take place across all Fridays in May 2021, with the first event taking place on Friday 7th May 11am-12.15pm.
Week 1 will explore the theme of “Experiential Learning”. The showcase will present the work of colleagues supported by the National Forum’s Strategic Alignment of Teaching and Learning Enhancement (SATLE) fund 2019, followed by an open Q&A session. Our speakers for the event are:
- Professor Áine Ryall and Cara O’ Mahony: Teaching Environmental Law for Policy Innovation and Impact.
- Dr Mary Tumelty: Experiential learning for dispute resolution: Developing a curriculum for alternative dispute resolution (ADR) skills, theory, and practice.
- Dr Tom Doyle : The ZOEA Initiative (Zoology Observed through an Educational lens).
- Dr Fidelma Butler: ELUCiDATA – Experiential Learning Using natural heritage Collections and Data.
