OBREAL Global and the ULPGC meet in Barcelona to plan the first steps of the CLIMAR project

On Thursday 15 December, the teams of OBREAL Global and the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria met to plan the first steps of the CLIMAR project (Strengthening research, innovation and knowledge transfer on Climate Change & Tourism in Higher Education Institutions in Latin America). This meeting took place at the OBREAL Global headquarters in Barcelona.

The main objective of CLIMAR is to link interdisciplinary research, innovation and knowledge transfer to curriculum development in higher education and continuing vocational training in order to prepare the tourism sector to better cope with climate change and mitigate its effects.

This Erasmus+ project is composed of an interregional consortium whose members include, in addition to OBREAL Global and the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the University of Alicante (Spain), the University of Bologna (Italy), the University of Cork (Ireland), the National University of Mar de Plata (Argentina), the University of Cuyo (Argentina), the University of Quintana Roo (Mexico), the University of Anahuac of Oaxaca (Mexico), the Autonomous University of Chiriqui (Panama), the University of Panama (Panama), the Colombian Association of Universities (Colombia), the University of Caldas (Colombia), the University of Cartagena (Colombia) and the National University of Colombia (Colombia). In addition, the consortium will have several associated partners, including the Ministry of Education of Panama.
