OBREAL Global is pleased to invite you to the event The role of South-South-North interregional higher education cooperation in development.
This meeting is hosted and promoted by OBREAL Global, the Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Argentinian Ministry of Education, acting also as the pro-tempore Presidency of CELAC (Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y Caribeños). The event will bring together both representatives of governments and of regional and continental integration and cooperation institutions, and representatives of national, regional and continental HE associations and organisations to discuss:
- The concrete ways in which universities, the HE sector and governments arecontributing to the local and regional development agenda, notably along severalthematic axes: Open Science, Employment, Inclusion and Lifelong learning, Climatechange and Sustainable Development
- Current examples of South-South-North Africa – Latin America – Europe collaborationto this effect and the perspectives for and importance of expanding this type of multi-regional collaboration
The event will count with interventions of the Joan Subirats, Minister of Universities, Spain, Joaquim Nadal, Minister of Universities and Research, Government of Generalitat de Catalunya, Jaime Perczyk, Minister of Education, Argentine Republic, PPT presidency CELAC, Daniel Nivagara, Minister for Science, Technology and Higher Education, Republic of Moçambique, Ricardo Alfonsín, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to Spain, Hambani Mashelini, Director Higher Education, African Union Commission amongst many other high representatives of the higher education sector.
