Asian Institute of Design webinar: “An introduction to Internet of Things”

OBREAL GLOBAL is pleased to announce that our colleagues from Asian Institute of Design are launching a webinar entitled “An introduction to Internet of Things” which will take place on June 30th 2020.

The Internet of Things (IoT) may be defined as a network of internet connected objects able to collect and exchange data. IoT is a fast growing technology intended to connect all devices to the existing internet infrastructure. Generally, it is perceived to be limited to only Mobiles, Computers, Tablets and Smart TV. However, IoT connectivity may be extended to all the devices like coffee maker, AC, Washing Machine, Ceiling Fan, lights and almost anything having sensors. It creates improved efficiency between the physical world and the computer-based systems.

The webinar “An Introduction to Internet of Things” will be delivered by Dr. Carlo Fischione, Full Professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Network and Systems Engineering Division, Stockholm, Sweden. Also Director of the KTH Micro Degree Program on “Data Science”, he holds a Ph.D degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of L’Aquila, Italy and the Laurea degree in Electronic Engineering from the same varsity.

He has donned top research positions at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University, Cambridge, and University of California at Berkeley among many others during his illustrious career. His research interests include optimization with applications to networks, wireless and sensor networks, Internet of Things, and digital systems. He has co-authored over 180 publications and has been conferred with a number of awards including the “IEEE Communication Society S. O. Rice” Award of 2018. He has also been a consultant for several technology-based companies like ABB Corporate Research, Berkeley Wireless Sensor Network Lab, Ericsson Research, Synopsys, and United Technology Research Center. This webinar is free to attend, do not miss it!
